MEET THE ARTISTS
MORGAN MIDDLETON
CREATOR/SINGER
Remember When creator and mezzo-soprano Morgan Middleton has completed her master’s degree in Vocal Performance at the New England Conservatory and has performed as an Apprentice Singer with the Santa Fe Opera. Singing has been her passion for as long as she can remember. Her first solo concert was a brief, impromptu one at the age of five in the check-out line at a Furr’s Supermarket in El Paso, Texas. Although her formal training is as an opera singer, she loves to sing oldies but goodies – musical theater and popular music from back in the day (her grandparents’ day, that is).  Since 2009, she has performed over 150 solo voice concerts for senior citizens in northern Virginia, where she grew up, and southern California, where she graduated from the University of Southern California (USC). In the little free time she has, Morgan enjoys catching up on sleep, watching British period dramas and scouring YouTube for any French bulldog videos she hasn’t yet watched.

JAMES PEACHEY
DRUMMER
A native of Washington DC, James got his start playing drums in an eclectic collection of local bands ranging in style from fusion to punk to ska to classic rock. Later when life took him to Illinois he discovered jazz and has been hooked on it ever since. Upon returning to the DC area, he began to specialize in swing and big band in addition to straight-ahead jazz, and has worked with a number of local groups over the years, notably the Tom Cunningham Orchestra and the Blue Sky 5. Today he freelances and also plays regularly with Silver Spring’s own Big Band Tradition. James considers himself to be on a quest to perform in the widest possible variety of settings and is enthusiastic about pursuing this goal. He is off to a good start with performances in supermarkets, prisons, a hair salon, a tennis court, Blues Alley, the Kennedy Center, the Meyerhoff in Baltimore, and outside Lincoln Center.
